Theme Thursday #2

Themed Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Reading Between the Pages.  I was reminded to participate again by Victoria TheBookGatherer
Just so that you all know what this is about, here are the rules:

  • A theme is posted each week (on Thursdays)
  • You must select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the book you are currently reading
  • Mention the author and the book title in the post
  • The theme must be conveyed in the sentence (not necessarily the actual word)

Okay, so this week our theme is SCHOOL (or anything related):

Dark Corners
"The building looked like a large old house. Inside it had a musty book smell and a crowded feel. I half expected the librarian to be a tiny, bespectacled woman with her hair in a bun, shushing people, but instead a twenty-something man in khakis stood behind the counter. He stared at me as I walked through the door, his mouth slightly agape. I stopped by the desk and asked, "Where are your records and archives?"

I love reading comments, almost as much as I love reading books!
