Redemption by Lindsey Gray

RedemptionRedemption by Lindsey Gray

Have you ever loved someone so much that you'd do absolutely anything for them, even give your own life?  Imagine a love can be so powerful that it transcends all space and time.

Lily is one of only three vampires in known existence. After falling in love with a human, sexy and talented musician Ian, she realizes their love is putting him in mortal danger. She flees from her life in Boston to the solace of her frozen waste land.

As her past continues to haunt her, Ian seeks out the only family Lily has ever known. Becca introduces Ian to a world he never thought possible as they embark on a search for Lily, starting in the bowels of a mysterious company called The Manchester Group.

Will Ian and Becca find her? Or will the reemergence of a long lost love take a hold of their future?

Lily is not your average vampire, as a matter of fact she is only one of three in existence. She will not burn in sunlight, but she avoids it.  She does not kill humans, although she could. Lily is one of the good guys. She has carefully existed as the undead for the past 100 years, working for the secretive Manchester Group and waiting to be reunited with the love of her human life, Ryan.  Everything changed when she allowed herself to get to close to Ian, she loved him, but he just wasn't Ryan. Life as she knew it would never be the same, not for her or anyone that she has ever loved.

Redemption is a love story within a love story.  It's about romantic love, familial love, and love between friends.  It's also a mysterious paranormal jackpot! Angels, demons, vampires, and sires...all woven into a wonderfully written story.  Lindsey Gray is a master storyteller, the pictures she paints are so vivid.  I can hardly believe she was able to tell this tale in under 300 pages...incredible!  The story is not at all rushed, she gives you background into the characters so that you understand what makes them tick.  She is also a genius at creating romantic tension, I won't elaborate because I don't want to give anything away.  I think my favorite thing about Redemption is that the angels and vampires are able to coexist - that's genius!

I truly enjoyed Redemption and I am pretty sure this is just the beginning!

@Joyce, you're absolutely right vampire books are still on the rise. Redemption was very different than what I've read, refreshingly so. I really liked it!
