Bookstores 'Can't Survive for Sentimental Reasons'

I have a soft spot in my heart for bookstores, I always have.  Although, I  must admit, I have not spent a lot of time at the bookstore lately.  Why?  Well the internet has made me lazy!  I love that I can peruse websites for books and have them delivered right to my front door.  Of course I still haven't purchased a reader, but I suppose downloading will be in my future.
But if you're like me, you have fond memories of hours past at the bookstore.  Aisles and aisles of books, it's like heaven!  I came across a short blub about the survival of local bookstores on Shelf Awareness.  I thought you might find it interesting too (don't worry it's short): Bookstores 'Can't Survive for Sentimental Reasons'

I love actual books as well. I can't imagine using a reader instead. Who doesn't love spending a couple hours perusing the aisles? I even love pictures of stacks or shelves of books!

You're great Danielle! I never thought I would see the day that books would be moving toward extinction!!! Well there is plenty to keep me busy in this life time..so I won't worry!

I have to admit I have a Kindle and LOVE it! So easy to carry, and no lines or hassles. However, I do appreciate bookstores for the actual books, and the good coffee smells. I hope books are never extinct, but I can't deny that I love the ability to carry 183 (the current # waiting to be read on my Kindle) books in my purse!
BTW thanks for commenting on my blog! I am following you as well and have enjoyed reading it thusfar!

@Shannon - I am trying to get on the reader wagon, but I have found that I am a creature of habit in my old age. But I can't hold out forever! I must admit that readers are great for the environment and convenient as H-E-double hockey sticks! LOL

I love reading comments, almost as much as I love reading books!
