Bad case of the Mondays

Today is the first day of my work week, the very last day of February, and I must report that I've caught an extremely bad case of the Mondays!

The Mondays are characterized by symptoms of lethargy, chronic daydreaming, and extremely short attention span.  Be warned:  The Mondays are highly contagious!  You can catch the Mondays on any day of the week, but studies show that people are most suseptible on Monday, when the immune system is compromised by impatience, low tolerance, and memories of weekends past.

It's been a little while since I've had the Mondays, so I guess it's about that time. Try as I might to be productive today, I've been unsuccessful. Rather than working, I would much rather be at home, curled up with a good book.  Not that my craving to be home is unusual, it is my absolute favorite place in the world to be, and my love of books is common knowledge.  But it's different when you've got the Mondays, the urge is stronger than the pull of gravity.  It's like trying to get gum out of your hair, just plain old difficult!

I have started a million things today and finished nothing.  I haven't even been able to succesfully make a phone call, because I can't pay attention to the stupid voice prompts!  Thank goodness some companies still make "zero" an option!  Did I mention that I also have a killer sore throat and my voice currently resembles a "gribbit"...that's right I sound like a frog! I've got a certified case of the Mondays on my hands alright.

There's always hope for tomorrow!

I love reading comments, almost as much as I love reading books!
