Drive-thru

We have quickly evolved into a drive-thru society.  Instant gratification has become our drug of choice.  We don’t want to wait for anything and why should we when everything we want is at our fingertips?
The problem with driving thru is that everything is rushed.  When you hurry, you cheat yourself out of the details; the little things that can only be accomplished through time and commitment.
Slow down.  You don’t want to hurry this moment, this day, or this life.  Savor the space that you are in right now.  Your very existence is a miracle…and you didn’t happen an in instant…and neither should your life.
Don’t take the fun out of life by rushing it along.  Stop and smell the roses.  Pause for gratitude.  Experience the breath in between. Save the drive-thru for fast food…but take the scenic route through your life.

I love reading comments, almost as much as I love reading books!
